Here's the proof:

...and cool hats
...in silly hand-knit hats
...in exotic locations!
...engaging in various activities!
...in all kinds of weather!
...for reasons that seemed perfectly clear at the time!
...and even stretching the very boundaries of the meaning of the word "hat"!
